ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Mollie Fitzpatrick of Root Policy Research will present the final draft of the Housing Needs Assessment, along with examples of housing “best practices”.

                     The Housing Needs Assessment will provide the information necessary for future City Council housing policy decisions.

                     A resolution accepting the Needs Assessment as a component of a ‘Global Housing Strategy’ is on the 9/15 regular Council agenda for review.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     On July 21, 2020, Root Policy presented a draft of the Housing Needs Assessment to City Council.

                     The Housing Needs Assessment was finalized based on City Council direction.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The cost of the study was $55,000 and was budgeted in the FY20 Housing and Community Development Fund.
