ITEM SUMMARY:
* City Council established the Community Support Grant program to establish a process for evaluating requests from non-profit agencies, providing activities, programs, and services to the residents of McKinney. Organizations, which can be reasonably categorized under the heading of providing a public service that promotes the health, safety, and welfare of McKinney residents, are eligible for funding consideration. The Consolidated Grants Application process afforded applicants to submit funding requests, whereby the Community Grants Advisory Commission (CGAC) determined recommendations for City Council approval.
* The Consolidated Grant Application Process closed April 2020. The City conducted an information meeting on February 27, 2020 and the CGAC held two public hearings on May 13, 2020 and May 14, 2020, to consider requests. Applicants were able to submit a maximum of two application requests for consideration. The Commission deliberated June 17, 2020 to determine City Council recommendations for approval. Program year begins October 1.
