RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with Lake | Flato + Parkhill to provide architectural and engineering (A/E) services from project programming through schematic design in conjunction with the McKinney Municipal Complex Project (FC1707).
* The selected consultant team, Lake | Flato + Parkhill, submitted a proposal to provide A/E services for project programming, master planning, conceptual design and schematic design for the McKinney Municipal Complex Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Lake | Flato + Parkhill is a professional services joint venture between Lake | Flato Architects and Parkhill Smith & Cooper, Inc. formed to provide architectural and engineering services for this project and is based in Frisco, Texas. Lake | Flato Architects is an award-winning San Antonio, Texas based architectural firm that has a multi-faceted portfolio including civic, cultural, educational, residential and hospitality projects. Parkhill Smith & Cooper, Inc. is a long-standing multidisciplinary design firm with offices in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico that provides professional services including architectural, engineering and planning in a wide variety of project types.
