RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:

                     Approval of the Resolution.

 

ITEM SUMMARY:

                     This Interlocal Agreement, and accompanying documents, provide the framework for the distribution of CARES Act Funding, from the Department of the Treasury, through Collin County, to the City of McKinney as reimbursement for eligible post March 1, 2020 public safety employee costs.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

                     Collin County received CARES Act Funding to provide ready funding to address unforeseen financial needs and risks created by the COVID-19 public health emergency.

                     Collin County Commissioners will allocate the funding, based on a per capita basis to cities within Collin County

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:

                     Approximately $6.7 million will be allocated to the City of McKinney to reimburse for the cost of eligible public safety employees.

                     These funds will be deposited to the Public Safety Improvement fund
