* Approval of the Ordinance.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Budget and the 2021-2025 Capital Improvements Program by transferring $3,500,000 from the TIRZ 1 Fund balance to the Facilities Improvement Fund and appropriating the funds into the East Louisiana Parking Lot Project (FC2117) for design and construction.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The reconstruction of Dungan Street along with a new adjacent parking lot project is required for the provision of parking for various eastside improvements including the TUPPS Brewery project being funded by the McKinney Community Development Corporation that is located directly to the east of this project.
* This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Budget and 2021 - 2025 Capital Improvements Program to fund the project.
* There is a companion agenda item for an Architectural and Engineering (A/E) professional services contract related to this project also included in this council session.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* The budget for this project shall be created by transferring funds from TIRZ 1 as approved at the January 5, 2021 TIRZ meeting and will include funding for the project's Architectural and Engineering services.
