ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a $112,000.00 contract increase with North Rock Construction, related to the installation of the splash pad at Prestwyck Park.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* North Rock Construction was approved by City Council as the Construction Contractor for Prestwyck Neighborhood Park on October 6, 2020.

* An allowance of $300,000 for the splash pad was budgeted in the October 6, 2020 agenda item with the intent that the splash pad would be purchased and installed through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative at a discounted price with an initial quote of $286,303 ($111,859 product + $174,444 installation cost).

* Installation was not attainable through the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative therefore the Parks Department requested that North Rock Construction provide a proposal for the installation of the splash pad as part of their construction contract. North Rock submitted a proposal to install it themselves for $111,946.05, which provides a savings of $62,497.95 from the initial $174,444 BuyBoard quote.
