ITEM SUMMARY:
• The resolution would give consent to the Collin County Municipal Utility District (the “District”) to annex a 1.937-acre tract of land wholly located within the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (“ETJ”) into the District.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• D.R. Horton - Texas, Ltd., the developer of a 1.937-acre tract of land wholly located within the City’s ETJ, seeks to have said tract of land be included in the District. The 1.937-acre tract is surrounded by the exiting District. Consequently, there is no impact to the City, or to future City services.
• Local Government Code provides that land located within the ETJ of a city, town, or village may not be added to the District without first receiving the written consent of said city, town, or village.
