                     Approval of Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Highway Intelligent Traffic Solutions, Inc. for the Construction of Roadway Illumination on Harry McKillop Boulevard from SH 5 to Airport Drive Project for a total contract amount not-to-exceed $1,377,500.00.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The City issued invitation to bid (22-01CC) to solicit responses from qualified contractors for the Construction of Roadway Illumination on Harry McKillop Blvd (SH 5 to Airport), Project TR2021.

o                     Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette and Celina Record

o                     Posted on McKinney TV

o                     994 matching eBid Supplier Notifications which included forty-three (43) Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) suppliers.

o                     Out of 994 supplier notifications, seven (7) bids were received on December 16, 2021.

                     The lowest bid received was from Highway Intelligent Traffic Solutions, Inc. at $1,252,205.81. A 10% contingency is included in the not-to-exceed amount.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Funding is provided by the Capital Improvement Harry McKillop Illumination Project (TR2021).

                     Upon approval of this item, $25,000.00 will remain in Project TR2021.
