RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of the Ordinance.

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Annual Budget and the 2022-2026 Capital Improvements Program to provide funding for additional Construction Manager at Risk services for the Public Safety PH5 Renovation Project (FC1729), located at 2200 Taylor Burk Drive, McKinney, Texas 75071 in an amount not to exceed $300,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The impound parking lot will provide the Police Department a secure facility at their existing site to park impounded vehicles.  

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     This Ordinance amends the budget by appropriating $300,000 from the Public Safety Improvement Fund balance for the Public Safety PH5 Renovation Project (FC1729) to provide funding for the Police Impound Lot.

                     With this amendment, the total project budget for Public Safety PH5 Renovation Project (FC1729) will increase from $7,079,081 to $7,379,081.

                     Upon approval of this item, $612,180 will remain in Project FC1729.
