RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $187,740 with Lee Engineering, LLC. to provide consulting engineering services for the Redbud Boulevard Illumination Improvements (TR2313) and authorizing all necessary change orders under said contract up to an aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any change orders, not to exceed $200,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The purpose of this project is to replace aging roadway lighting along Redbud Boulevard, Central Circle, Bray Central Drive, Graves Street, Heritage Boulevard, and Heritage Drive. New roadway lighting along Commerce Drive and Corporate Drive will be included as part of the design.
* The design will be separated into two set of plans in order to bid out the construction north of US 380 as a separate phase. It is planned to construct the entire project in two phases.
* Lee Engineering, LLC. submitted a response to 21-19RFQ Category V - Traffic Studies associated with roadway illumination design. They were one of six firms shortlisted by City Council on February 2, 2021. Lee Engineering, LLC. was selected from this group based on availability and qualifications to conduct the roadway illumination design.
