* Approval of the Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a change order to the Design/Build Services Agreement with PassBuilt Construction, LLC.
* As requested, PassBuilt submitted a proposal to provide additional services for an amount not to exceed $190,400 related to the structural repairs for the Recreation Center at Towne Lake Renovation (RCTL) Project (PK4397).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* On September 19, 2023, the City of McKinney authorized a GMP contract amendment to the existing Design/Build Services Contract for the RCTL Renovation Project (PK4397) with PassBuilt Construction, LLC in association with Conduit Architecture and Design.
* JQ Engineering (JQ) conducted a structural assessment of the RCTL to evaluate the structural integrity of the building constructed in 1985. During the assessment, concrete cracks were observed in the tilt wall panel, separation of the Glulam beams due to water damage, and some of the roof trusses were found to be bowed and cracked.
