RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY: This Resolution authorizes an award of an annual contract with Holcim-SOR, Inc. of Addison, Texas for Concrete Ready Mix.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued an Invitation to Bid 25-23AC Concrete Ready Mix on November 24, 2024.
o Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette and Celina Record
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 336 matching Bonfire supplier notifications which included one (1) Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) suppliers
• In response to all notices published, one (1) bid was received from our incumbent supplier, Holcim-SOR, Inc.
• The bid from Holcim-SOR, Inc. was reviewed by Procurement Services and Public Works. A price analysis was presented to the Street Department and the bid was determined to meet the City’s needs.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for one (1) year period with three (3) one-year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY: Estimated annual spend for this contract award is $250,000 and is currently budgeted in the Street Maintenance and Water Maintenance accounts.
