RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Act on membership of the PROS Board.
ITEM SUMMARY: The City Council will act on whether to remove, reassign, and / or appoint one or more members to the board.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City Council considers the appointment of members to all city boards and commissions annually in August. In 2025, the following individuals were appointed to the PROS Board:
o Regular members: Mohamed Elhindi, Todd Burton, Bruce Mead, Leslie Warren, David Clarke, Monica Escamilla, and Osiola Henderson
o Alternate members: Lauren Halsey and James Jenkins
• In accordance with the McKinney City Charter, Chapter III, City Ordinances Chapter 74, and City Board & Commission policy,
o the City Council may appoint members to the various boards and commissions of the city, and remove appointed members at any time, with or without notice;
o the PROS Board shall consist of five (5) to nine (9) members and act in an advisory capacity to the Director, City Manager, and City Council in matters pertaining to parks, recreation and open space,
o the PROS Board members must be resident voters of the city and must adhere to regular meeting attendance expectations.
