RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement to provide complete architectural and engineering (“A/E”) services related to the design and construction of the Roy and Helen Hall Library Reimagine (Project LI2441)
• 720 Design, Inc. has submitted a proposal to provide A/E services for the Roy and Helen Hall Library Reimagine Project in the amount of $1,202,940.
• There is a companion agenda item also included in this council session to amend the budget prior to approval of this item.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• 720 Design, Inc. is a professional planning, architecture, consulting and interior design firm based in Dallas, Texas and has successfully completed multiple projects for the City of McKinney.
• In February of 2024, 720 Design completed a needs assessment and master planning for the Roy and Helen Hall Library to extend its life by 10+ years.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes a Professional Services Agreement for the proposed amount of $1,202,940 which includes a contingency amount of $100,000 for any necessary change orders or amendments.
