City Council conducted four (4) candidate interview sessions between July 20 -July 30, 2026.

Applicant recruitment was conducted through a variety of means: city departments, City Council, distribution of Board & Commission informational cards at public facilities and online; staff and board participation in the McKinney Chamber of Commerce Serve McKinney event; and webpage, television, and social media advertisements.
