RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of ordinance.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The City of McKinney is a recipient of a $396,000 matching grant from the Collin County Open Space program.

 

                     An interlocal agreement between Collin County and the City of McKinney was entered on October 27, 2021; 2018 Parks and Open Space Bond Project OI18PG18.

 

                     This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Annual Budget and the 2022-2026 Capital Improvements Program by accepting $396,000 in grant funding from Collin County and appropriating it in the Parks Construction Fund for the Wilson Creek Greens Trail Project (PK1213 - Hike and Bike Trail Construction).

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     An accompanying Resolution for a design contract is also on this agenda for Council’s consideration.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Annual Budget and the 2022-2026 Capital Improvements Program by accepting $396,000 in grant funding from Collin County and appropriating it in the Parks Construction Fund for the Wilson Creek Greens Trail Project (PK1213 - Hike and Bike Trail Construction).

 

                     Upon approval of this agenda item, $975,009 will remain in project PK1213.
