ITEM SUMMARY:
• This resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with LJA Engineering, of McKinney, Texas, for Professional Planning and Engineering Services for the Wilson Creek Greens Trail Phase 2 (PK1827), for an increase in the not to exceed from $237,000 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $378,650.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• LJA Engineering is currently under contract with the City for design and construction administration services related to the Wilson Creek Greens Trail Phase 2 Project.
• As the design on the project has progressed, additional construction administration services are needed to expand the design scope to include replacing or removing all the old cart paths on site, which were not part of LJA’s original contract.
• LJA Engineering submitted a proposal for $141,650 for these additional services ($378,650 aggregate contract total), which has been reviewed by staff and exceeds the previously authorized not to exceed amount of $237,000.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with LJA Engineering for an increase in the not to exceed contract amount from $237,000 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $378,650.
• The Wilson Creek Greens Trail Phase 2 Project (PK1827) is a FY24-25 Capital Improvements Program project funded by MCDC funds and Collin County grant monies.
• With the approval of this item, $3,493,030.50 will remain in PK1827.
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
• On 12/5/2023, the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Board recommended to City Council the award of the design contract.
