ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes an award of an annual fixed price contract with David’s Paint and Body, Inc. of McKinney, Texas, for Automotive Paint and Body Services on an as-needed basis.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Request for Proposal 26-14RFP for Automotive Paint and Body Services on November 7, 2025.
o Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette and Celina Record
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 418 matching Bonfire supplier notifications
• In response to all notices published, three (3) proposals were received on December 4, 2025.
• An evaluation committee comprised of members from Fleet Services and Procurement Services reviewed and scored the proposals on the following criteria:
o 35 Points - Hourly Labor Rates
o 25 Points - Markup on OEM Parts
o 17 Points - Qualifications/Experience
o 10 Points - Capacity and Turnaround Time
o 10 Points - Past experience with the City
o 3 Points - Local Vendor Preference
• Based on the results of the evaluated proposals, the evaluation team has recommended the award of contract to David’s Paint and Body, Inc. of McKinney, Texas, for their ability to meet the City’s needs.
• Contract will commence on the date of award and continue for one (1) year period with three (3) one-year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for Automotive Paint and Body Services will come from the citywide AEOE accounts through account 002-9999-603-8415.
