ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Annual Budget and the 2024-2028 Capital Improvements Program by increasing the funding from the Texas Department of Transportation by $29,923 from $6,400,000 to $6,429,923 and appropriating this increase in the Capital Improvement Program Project AI2114, Taxilane A Realignment & Rehabilitation.
• This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Annual Budget and the 2024-2028 Capital Improvements Program by increasing the allocation of the IIJA funds administered by the Texas Department of Transportation by $600,017 from $1,607,000 to $2,207,017 and appropriating this increase in the Capital Improvement Program Project AI2114, Taxilane A Realignment & Rehabilitation.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The proposed scope of work for Phase I will consist primarily of:
o The removal of Taxiway B3
o The construction of Taxiway A3
o The relocation of Taxilane A’s centerline 68 feet to the east
o The construction of additional aircraft parking apron
• The removal of Taxiway B3 and the construction of Taxiway A3 will address the safety issue of direct connection from the apron to the runway identified by the FAA.
• The relocation of Taxilane A’s centerline to the east will allow for additional aircraft parking apron between the fire lane and the Taxilane A Object Free Area.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Annual Budget and the 2024-2028 Capital Improvements Program by increasing the funding from the Texas Department of Transportation by $29,923 from $6,400,000 to $6,429,923 and appropriating this increase in the Capital Improvement Program Project AI2114, Taxilane A Realignment & Rehabilitation.

• Total Phase I Project costs are estimated not to exceed $9,596,900. The City of McKinney will be responsible for the 10% match of $959,690.
