ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $276,430 as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Terracon Consultants, Inc. for geotechnical and materials testing services for the construction of the Citywide Street Rehabilitation Project (CIP Project ST2408) for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $305,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Materials testing services will be required on the project to ensure construction materials used by the contractor meet or exceed City requirements.
• Terracon Consultants, Inc. submitted a response to 24-13RFQ for On-call Miscellaneous Geotechnical and Materials Testing Services. Terracon Consultants, Inc. was one of six (6) firms shortlisted by the City Council on March 5, 2024.
• Terracon Consultants, Inc. submitted a proposal to provide geotechnical and materials testing services for the construction of the Citywide Street Rehabilitation in the amount of $276,430 which has been reviewed by staff and is recommended for approval.
• Reimbursement for materials testing services will be billed based on actual time and materials, not to exceed the estimated proposal amount.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes a contract and all necessary supplemental agreements with Terracon Consultants, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $305,000.
• With the approval of this item and the accompanying construction contract, $795,000 will remain in Project ST2408.
