ITEM SUMMARY:
• This resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $6,948,170.10 with Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating, Inc. for the construction of the Taxiway A Phase II project, and authorizing all necessary change orders under said contract up to the aggregate amount, inclusive of any change orders, not to exceed $7,642,987.11.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Garver, LLC prepared the construction plans for the Phase II portion of the Taxiway A Rehabilitation.
• On April 3, 2026, Procurement Services issued an Invitation to Bid (26-46ITB) for TKI Taxiway A Rehabilitation Phase II. Out of 408 suppliers notified, three (3) responses were received and opened on April 30, 2026.
• The bids were reviewed by the Airport and Procurement Services. Of the three (3) bids received in response to the solicitation 26-46ITB, the team recommends the award to Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $6,948,170.10.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes a contract in the amount of $6,948,170.10 with Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating, Inc. for the construction of the Taxiway A Phase II project, and authorizing all necessary change orders under said contract up to the aggregate amount, inclusive of any change orders, not to exceed $7,642,987.11.
• Funding for this project is in CIP project AI2633, Taxiway A Rehabilitation, Phase II.
• Upon approval of this item, $3,430,783 will remain in AI2633.
