ITEM SUMMARY:  
•                     On Tuesday, August 23, the McKinney City Council will appoint members to the various city Boards & Commissions.  Unless noted otherwise, those appointed will serve terms effective October 1, 2022-September 30, 2024.
•                     To be considered, interested individuals (including incumbent members with terms expiring in 2022) must complete an application and participate in an interview.
•                     The deadline to apply is Friday June 17, 2022. Apply online at <https://mckinney.granicus.com/boards/apply>. Incumbent board members should use the email address on file to update their existing application.
•                     Interviews will be conducted in July / August, and all approved candidates will be contacted to confirm their schedule.
•                     Prior to October 1, new and reappointed members must complete Open Government Training and any related training as assigned.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
•                     Every year, approximately half of all McKinney Boards & Commissions appointments expire, with those vacancies filled by City Council vote.
•                     Appointment terms last two years. Board Members can serve up to two (2) or three (3) consecutive terms, depending on which board they are assigned to.
