RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a change order to the Design/Build Services Agreement with PassBuilt Construction, LLC.
• As requested, PassBuilt submitted a proposal to provide additional services for an amount not to exceed $887,010 for roof replacement related to the Recreation Center at Towne Lake (RCTL) Renovation Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• During the renovation of the Recreation Center at Towne Lake, the Facilities Construction Department and Public Works Department became aware of the need for a full roof replacement.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the Design-Build construction contract with PassBuilt for roof replacement, including potential changes to the scope of services, for an amount not to exceed $937,010 which includes an owner’s contingency of $50,000.
• Upon approval of this agenda item and the companion budget amendment agenda item for the Recreation Center at Towne Lake, funding for this scope of the project will come from the Parks Construction Fund.
