ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by LifePath Systems.

                     Project elements include storm drainage, fire protection, electrical and site work for a new facility.

                     LifePath is building a 110,000 square foot facility that will allow them to expand their services with new spaces for their Access and Diversion Center, Assisted Community Treatment Program, Level of Care 3 Services, Continuity of Care Services, and Jail Diversion programs. Estimated project completion is June 2025.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     LifePath Systems has a 38-year history of serving individuals and families impacted by behavioral health and intellectual or development challenges, most of whom are low-income, uninsured, and/or Medicaid-eligible.

                     LifePath’s three core services are behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and early childhood intervention.

                     LifePath currently services more than 18,000 individuals annually from various races, ethnicities and cultures.

 

 FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Funds allocated for FY24 for discretionary Project Grants is $2,335,904, and $1,835,904 in discretionary funds remain.

                     The request is eligible for MCDC consideration under Section 501.103 of the Texas Local Government Code.

                     This is the first time LifePath Systems has requested funding from MCDC.
