This request represents 2% of the Total Project Cost and 20% of the Project Elements Included in this Grant Request.

ITEM SUMMARY:
• McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by LifePath Systems.
• Project elements include storm drainage, fire protection, electrical and site work for a new facility.
• LifePath is building a 110,000 square foot facility that will allow them to expand their services with new spaces for their Access and Diversion Center, Assisted Community Treatment Program, Level of Care 3 Services, Continuity of Care Services, and Jail Diversion programs. Estimated project completion is June 2025.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• LifePath Systems has a 38-year history of serving individuals and families impacted by behavioral health and intellectual or development challenges, most of whom are low-income, uninsured, and/or Medicaid-eligible.
• LifePath’s three core services are behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and early childhood intervention.
• LifePath currently services more than 18,000 individuals annually from various races, ethnicities and cultures.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funds allocated for FY24 for discretionary Project Grants is $2,335,904, and $1,835,904 in discretionary funds remain.
• The request is eligible for MCDC consideration under Section 501.103 of the Texas Local Government Code.
• This is the first time LifePath Systems has requested funding from MCDC.
