ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reimbursable Agreement for the relocation and construction on the Runway 18 NAVAIDS as part of the McKinney National Airport Project AI2452, Extend Runway 18 | Phase 1 - 500’ North.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The proposed scope of work for this Agreement between the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the City of McKinney (Sponsor) is to perform site visit, preliminary design and engineering review, and construction/installation activities in the Sponsor’s project to extend Runway (RWY) 18 and Taxiway (TWY) B impacting FAA NAS facilities including the RWY 18 Medium-Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Indicator (MALSR), RWY 18 Glideslope, and associated FAA cabling and infrastructure.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The City of McKinney is required to prepay the total estimated cost of $749,586.47.

                     Upon approval of this item and companion items, the remaining balance in AI2452 will be $3,748,706.41.

                     The companion agenda items are on the September 17, 2024, City Council agenda for the Garver LLC construction phase services and the construction bid award to RPMx for project AI2452.
