• The City issued a 25-42RFQ - Request for Qualification to solicit responses for the McKinney Downtown Fire Sprinkler Project on May 2, 2025.
• The scope of services for the design phase will include data collection, utilizing Lidar scans of 104 unique business and over 496,000 square feet of space. As-built plans will be created and used as the basis of fire suppression system design.
• Multiple options, with cost estimates, will be created for each block within the study area. These options will recommend potential locations for underground fire line connections, riser rooms, and main line fire routes.
• This project will work closely with downtown property owners and business owners throughout the project timeline to provide access to the spaces for scanning and to choose options. Upon completion of the design phase, the construction phase will commence with those blocks agreeable to participation.
