RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Crossland to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services related to the design and renovation of the McKinney Public Safety Building Renovation Phase VI Project (Project No. FP2004).
• The selected team, Crossland Construction Company, Inc., submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal to provide construction manager at risk services for an amount not to exceed $5,475,531 including the construction services fee of 3.5% for the Public Safety Building Renovation Phase VI Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The construction documents were issued and advertised for bids by Crossland Construction Company, Inc.
• Crossland compiled the bids, verified the scopes of work with each proposed subcontractor and submitted a final Guaranteed Maximum Price for approval.
• With this approval, Crossland will be notified to begin construction with completion scheduled for March 11, 2027.
• Crossland has successfully completed multiple City of McKinney projects, including various renovations as well as a variety of civic facility projects for other municipalities.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) construction services, including potential changes to that scope of services with Crossland Construction Company, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $5,475,531.
• After approval of this item, the balance left in project FP2004 will be $5,856,185.
