ITEM SUMMARY:
• This resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with LJA Engineering Inc, of McKinney, Texas, for professional planning and engineering services for The McKinney Light Walk at Towne Lake Park (PK4393), for an increase in the not to exceed from $96,500 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $118,875.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• LJA Engineering is currently under contract with the City for design and construction administration services related to the McKinney Light Walk at Towne Lake Park Project.
• As the project has progressed, additional construction administration services are required which were not included in LJA’s original contract.
• LJA Engineering submitted a proposal for $22,375 for these additional services ($118,875 aggregate contract total), which has been reviewed by staff and exceeds the previously authorized not to exceed amount of $96,500.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with LJA Engineering for an increase in the not to exceed contract amount from $96,500 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $118,875.
• The McKinney Light Walk at Towne Lake Park Project (PK4393) is a FY24-25 Capital Improvements Program project funded by Bonds, MCDC and Parkland Dedication funds.
• With the approval of this item, $4,407,399 will remain in PK4393. $2.5 million of recently issued 2025 GO Bonds previously planned for this project are being utilized for new project PK2608 Towne Lake Redevelopment.
