ITEM SUMMARY:
• This resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with LJA Engineering, Inc. to provide additional professional architectural and engineering services for the design of the Dog Park and Play Zone at Towne Lake Park Project (PK4393), for an increase in the not to exceed from $350,000 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $414,910.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• LJA Engineering, Inc. is currently under contract with the City for design and construction administration services related to the Dog Park and Play Zone at Towne Lake Park Project.
• As design on the project has progressed, additional services are required for development of the property, including rezoning, boundary verification, a Letter of Map Amendment, amending plat, surveying and planning services which were not included in the original contract with LJA Engineering, Inc.
• LJA Engineering, Inc. submitted a proposal for $64,910 for these additional services ($414,910) aggregate contract total), which has been reviewed by staff and exceeds the previously authorized not to exceed amount of $350,000.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with LJA Engineering, Inc. for an increase in the not to exceed contract amount from $350,000 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $414,910.
• The Dog Park and Play Zone at Towne Lake Park Project (PK4393) is a FY23-24 Capital Improvements Program project funded by MCDC and Parkland Dedication funds.
• With the approval of this item, $3,426,721.71 will remain in PK4393.
