RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $420,775, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with a not to exceed amount of $460,000 for professional consulting engineering services for the McKinney Downtown Fire Sprinkler project.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

* This project involves nine (9) blocks in downtown McKinney, Texas. The selected design firm will be required to assess these downtown blocks, create as-built plans for existing buildings where such plans are not already available, propose design options for each block, and develop a comprehensive design that includes fire risers and main lines to ensure proper access to each property.

* The City issued a 25-42RFQ - Request for Qualification to solicit responses for the McKinney Downtown Fire Sprinkler Project on May 2, 2025.
