RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $191,000.00, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Roadway Impact Fee Project (ST2518), for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $220,000.00.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code mandates that impact fees be reviewed and updated at least every 5 years. The City of McKinney last performed a review and update of impact fees in 2020.
* Accordingly, Development Services Staff (Engineering and Planning Departments) are now initiating the 2025 Roadway Impact Fee Update.
* The project will involve updates to the land use assumptions, Roadway Improvements Plan, and impact fees.
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. submitted a response to RFQ 24-46 for On-Call Roadway Design Services. They were one of twelve firms shortlisted by City Council on September 17, 2024. Resolution Number: 2024-09-158R.
