ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The McKinney Repertory Theatre is requesting $1,030 for the advertising, marketing and promotion of their 2026 performances including:

o                     New Works Festival on February 12, 19 and 26 at Heard-Craig Center for the Arts

o                     Community Concert with the Forever Plaid cast on April 26 at Heard-Craig Center for the Arts

o                     Comedic Radio Show in July at Chestnut Square

                     Request represents 84% of total promotional budget.

                     MRT is collaborating with other groups during the closure and renovation of MPAC.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The mission and purpose of McKinney Repertory Theatre is to present live theater productions for the cultural, entertainment and inspiration of the community, while advancing the level of culture in the field of dramatic arts.

                     The organization partners with the Young Actors Guild to provide theatrical training for young stage performers.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     MCDC’s allocation for Promotional and Community Event grants for FY 26 is $250,000; $125,000 for Cycle I and $125,000 for Cycle II applicants.

                     MCDC awarded a Promotional and Community Event grant to McKinney Repertory Theater in an amount of $6,790 for two productions in 2025.
