RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Approve additional funding
ITEM SUMMARY:
· At the May 5, 2014 Work Session, the Finance Department presented requests for mid-year budget amendments.
· One of the requests included $26,000 to replace existing Council chairs.
· On June 3, 2014, the City Council approved Ordinance 2014-06-040 to fund the requested mid-year budget items.
· During the discussion the City Council inquired if the seating capacity could be expanded.
· Several layouts were considered to replace the existing connected chairs to individual chairs.
· After evaluating the options, a different type of chair was selected that would enable the flexibility to increase the number of seats within the public seating area.
· The selected seating will cost an additional $4000.

· The additional $4,000 will come from the contingency fund.
