• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution appoints Judge Peter J. Graham as a contract Municipal Court Judge to support the Presiding Municipal Court Judge on a month-to-month basis beginning June 18, 2024, and until an Associate Municipal Court Judge can be appointed, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract effectuating this Resolution.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On April 30, 2024, the Presiding Municipal Court Judge submitted her resignation. June 4th, 2024, City Council appointed the Associate Municipal Court Judge as the Presiding Municipal Court Judge with an effective date June 14, 2024.
• This Resolution appoints a contract Municipal Court Judge as a supporting role during recruitment of the Associate Municipal Court Judge.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The contract Municipal Court Judge will be compensated for as-needed services on a month-to-month basis beginning June 18, 2024.
• Per the approved agreement, services will be paid for out of the General Fund.
