RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approve Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• In 1994, City Council approved and authorized execution a Median Maintenance Reimbursement Agreement (“Agreement”) with Stonebridge Ranch Community Association, Inc. (“Association”).
• The Agreement allows the City to reimburse the Association for median maintenance of various areas within Stonebridge Ranch in lieu of City crews providing the service.
• The existing Agreement expires on December 31, 2022.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City of McKinney has contracted with the Association since January 1994 on an Agreement for median maintenance including: mowing; bed maintenance; chemical applications; tree and shrub trimming; irrigation repairs; watering; and plant replacement.
• The covered median area is approximately 49.40 acres.
• The new Agreement will be for a 5-year term beginning on January 1, 2023 and ending on December 31, 2027.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funds for this Agreement in the amount of $205,504.00 are included in the FY 2022/2023 Budget proposal.
