ITEM SUMMARY:

The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with Garver, LLC for McKinney National Airport Project AI2114, Taxilane A Realignment & Rehabilitation, for an amount not to exceed $990,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The proposed scope of work will consist primarily of the study and design of the realignment of Westside Taxiway Alpha between Taxiways B2 and B4 and reconstruction of Taxiway Alpha between B4 and B5. Design documents will be developed based on the phase I area budget to realign Taxiway Alpha near Taxiway B3.

Taxiway Alpha primarily services the general aviation operations on the westside of the airport.  The pavement of Taxiway Alpha is aging and deteriorating and must be rehabilitated or replaced.

Realignment of this taxiway will provide additional ramp space for parking and staging general aviation aircraft.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:

Total Project costs are estimated not to exceed $990,000. The City will be responsible for 100% of the total project costs.

Funding for this project is currently budgeted in Capital Improvement Program Project AI2114. Upon approval of this item, $140,000 will remain in Project AI2114.
