RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of Resolution.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution provides authority to the City Manager to enter into a contract with Golf Scapes to provide the Master Plan for the Oak Hollow Golf Course.

                     The Master Plan is to be completed by December 31, 2011.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The Master Plan will provide modifications to the landscape of the course and an irrigation plan.

                     The Master Plan will enhance the beauty of the course encouraging an increase in players generating an increase in revenue.

                     Eight (8) Request for Proposals for the Master Plan for the Oak Hollow Golf Course were received on June 30, 2011. 

                     An evaluation process was held with each company with the rankings ranging from 2.40 to 4.7667 with Golf Scapes ranking the highest.

 

 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

 

                     None.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     This Resolution authorizes a contract with Golf Scapes for an amount not to exceed $12,750.

                     On March 15, 2011, City Council approved an ordinance authorizing a budget amendment modifying a loan agreement from the Solid Waste Fund to include $15,000 for a master plan increasing the loan payoff payments from $47,750 to $63,300 annually.

                     All costs for loan repayment will be funded through revenue from the golf course.

                     Funding available from the City’s Solid Waste Fund in an amount not to exceed $15,000.
