ITEM SUMMARY:
• Approval of this project will expand the City of McKinney radio system and allow additional talk paths to be added to the existing system.
• This expansion will accommodate growth of additional users in Public Safety, Parks, Airport and Public Works.
• The additional talk paths will help to assure that radio users do not experience busy or overload conditions on the radio system.
• Motorola, the current radio vendor for the City of McKinney, will be used for this project.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• 3-year agreement with a total cost of $146,869.41
• The Radio Maintenance Agreement has been renegotiated with Motorola for a reduction in cost that will allow the funding of the proposed Lease Purchase Agreement without the City incurring additional unbudgeted expenditures.
• This project will be funded using currently budgeted funds for radio/communications maintenance. Account # 001-3102-423-8408.
