ITEM SUMMARY:
• To comply with Bipartisan Infrastructure Law changes to 49 USC Sec. 5329(d) a transit agency serving a small urbanized area (an urbanized area with a population of fewer than 200,000) must review and update its agency safety plan in cooperation with frontline employee representatives. Agencies must also update the agency safety plan to include strategies to minimize exposure to infectious diseases. Staff reviewed and updated Agency Safety Plan in accordance with federal policy. Staff recommends approval of the updated Agency Safety Plan.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• This Agency Safety Plan was initially developed in accordance with and received approval from TXDOT. The original Agency Safety Plan was approved by the MUTD Board in July 2020.
