ITEM SUMMARY:
* The McKinney Senior Center Renovation & Expansion Project (PK4394) is entering the final stages of cost estimates in anticipation of establishing a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) with Balfour Beatty Construction, LLC. This item will provide updates on the scope of work, final plans, public information meeting, and cost estimates that are still being developed. Staff is seeking approval to forward this project to City Council for final review and consideration.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* In October 2019, the City of McKinney authorized a contract for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) with Balfour Beatty Construction, LLC, in association with Brinkley Sargent Wiginton Architects, Inc., for the McKinney Senior Center Renovation & Expansion Project.
* At present, there is no Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) established for this project.
* The McKinney Senior Center Renovation & Expansion Project currently has a total project budget of $3,500,000.
* At this time, staff is working with Balfour Beatty to finalize the project details and establish a GMP.
* Staff will present a budget range based upon the project scope, plan details, and cost information in hand.
