* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $289,706.00, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with CP&Y Inc. dba STV Infrastructure for professional consulting engineering services for the East Virginia Parkway Extension (Murray Street to Airport Drive) Project (CIP Project ST2307), for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $334,000.00.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* City Council adopted the East McKinney Mobility & Transportation Alignment Study on January 17, 2023. The study shows an extension of Virginia Street to create a new connection to Airport Drive.
* The FY23-27 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes funding for comprehensive infrastructure improvements to Virginia Street between Murray Street and Airport Drive.
* Improvements included in the project scope of work include the development of two (2) alignment alternatives, environmental studies, topographical and boundary survey, geotechnical investigation, and public involvement.
