ITEM SUMMARY:
* The McKinney Repertory Theatre is requesting $14,990.98 for the advertising, marketing and promotion of the 2023-24 performances to include a minimum of five shows and 22 performances.
* Performances include CLUE (Oct 6-7 and 13-14, 2023), A Christmas Carol (Nov 24-25 and Dec 8-9, 2023), Diary of Anne Frank (Mar 1-2 and 8-9, 2024), Steel Magnolias (May 3-4 and 10-11, 2024), and Forever Plaid (Jul 26-27 and Aug 2-3 and 9-10, 2024).
* Performances draw attendees 130-160 per performance from across DFW. Goal is to grow the audience and the number of season concerts.
* Tickets are $24.50 for adults (exception: $14.50 for A Christmas Carol), $21 for seniors, and $19 for students/children.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Mission and purpose of McKinney Repertory Theatre is to present live theater productions for the cultural, entertainment and inspiration of the community, while advancing the level of culture in the field of dramatic arts.
* The organization partners with the Young Actors Guild to provide theatrical training for young stage performers.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* MCDC's allocation for Promotional and Community Event grants for FY 23 is $200,000 -- $100,000 for Cycle I applicants and $100,000 for Cycle II applicants.
* Actual total grant funds available for Cycle II are $131,458. This includes reappropriations of unspent funds from FY 2022.
