ITEM SUMMARY:
* SBG Hospitality is requesting $10,000.00 for advertising, marketing and promotion of the 2023 McKinney Wine and Music Festival.
* Scheduled date for the 2023 Festival is Saturday, October 14, at Towne Lake Park from noon to 5:00 p.m.
* Partnership with HEB will allow for a culinary experience tent for guests to taste cuisine paired with wines.
* Love Life Foundation will receive $1 per wine pass sold, and Warriors Keep will receive 100% of grape stomping proceeds. In 2022, the event donated $4,000 to these organizations, and the goal for 2023 is $5,000.
* General admission is free. Wine tasting passes are $35, wine tasting with HEB culinary tent passes are $45, and VIP passes are $85.
* Expected attendance is 6,500.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* SBG Hospitality is an event production and marketing company from McKinney. Current festival productions include the McKinney St. Patrick's Day Festival & Shamrock Run, Monster Dash 5K, and the Sip & Stroll Series.
* SBG events are designed to drive traffic and visitors to the city and increase sales for restaurants, artists, shops, etc.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* MCDC's allocation for Promotional and Community Event grants for FY 23 is $200,000 -- $100,000 for Cycle I applicants and $100,000 for Cycle II applicants.
* Actual total grant funds available for Cycle II are $131,458. This includes reappropriations of unspent funds from FY 2022.
