• McKinney Main Street received a public art grant from the McKinney Arts Commission for $20,000 in Downtown McKinney on Doug and Linda’s Ski Shop at 226 E Virginia Street. The mural will be themed “Anything but Square” and will be sponsored by McKinney Main Street (McKinney Downtown Business Redevelopment Board Inc) and created by Bryan Peterson.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Main Street is sponsoring a public art mural celebrating the unique business community in the Cultural District. The mural will be located adjacent to the Doug and Linda’s Ski Shop Parking lot at 226 E Virginia St (Property owned by Doug and Linda's Ski Shop). Bryan Peterson was the artist of the Anything but Square marketing campaign for Downtown McKinney, a campaign that celebrates the small businesses that make McKinney Unique.
