RECOMMENDED ACTION:
• Recommend that City Council approve the Resolution for construction.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The proposed project includes landscape enhancements at the intersection of US 75 and West Virginia Parkway.
• On July 25th, 2024, the City of McKinney received bids for this project.
• Staff, along with TxDot concurrence recommends awarding the construction bid to Central North Construction, LLC in the amount of $399,626.75 not to exceed $450,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City of McKinney entered into an Advance Funding Agreement (AFA) with TxDot on September 11, 2023.
• City staff worked with Haff Associates on preparing the construction plans and specifications as needed for project bidding.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This project (PK2112) is a FY23-24 Capital Improvements Program funded by Parkland/Median Fee Fund and TxDot grant monies.
