ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes an award of an annual contract with Aqua Bore, LLC of Terrell, Texas for as needed boring services.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City issued Request for Proposals 25-47RFP Boring Services on May 16, 2025.
o Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette and Celina Record
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 316 matching Bonfire supplier notifications, which included one (1) Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) supplier
* In response to all notices published, two (2) proposals were received on June 5, 2025, from the following respondents:
o Aqua Bore, LLC
o AV Cabling Contractors
* An evaluation team comprised of staff from Public Works and Procurement Services reviewed and ranked the proposals based on the following criteria:
o 40 Points: Pricing
o 25 Points: Capabilities
o 20 Points: Reputation - Qualifications and Reputation
o 12 Points: Response Time Compliance
o 3 Points: Local Presence
* Based on the results of the evaluated proposals, the evaluation team recommends awarding an annual contract to Aqua Bore, LLC of Terrell, Texas for Boring Services on an as needed basis.
* Contract will commence on date of award and continue for one (1) year period with three (3) one-year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* Estimated annual spend for this contract award is $50,000.
* Funding is budgeted in the Water Utilities account 003-8205-503-8516.
