RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* The Airport has reached agreements with users of the new terminal for the following improvements:
o Construction of an approximately 4,000-square-foot support building for airline tenants (estimated construction cost of $1.5M to $1.7M).
o Construction of office space within the airport terminal for airline tenants (estimated construction cost of $50,000).
o Construction of the concession area within the airport terminal (estimated construction cost of $1M).
* The additional improvements are the result of operational requirements and agreements with the airline / terminal users that were finalized after the original terminal design scope was established.
* The additional improvements require Owner's Representative services to assist the City with project coordination, design and construction oversight, schedule and budget monitoring, and coordination among the project consultants, contractor, Airport, and City staff.
