RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with Pape - Dawson Engineers, LLC to provide additional professional engineering services for the design of the East McKinney Drainage Study and Street Rehabilitation Project (DR2224 and ST2224) for an increase in the not to exceed from $790,000 to a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $1,024,000.00.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Pape - Dawson Engineers, LLC is currently under contract with the City for design and construction administration services related to the East McKinney Drainage Study and Street Rehabilitation project.
* Council provided direction to add sidewalks to all reconstruction projects after this design contract was executed with the consultant. As a result of this direction and the findings of the initial drainage study, additional design elements were identified during design that need to be addressed, including:
o Vertical profile adjustments to address drainage issues.
o Adding sidewalk to the project.
o Narrowing the existing roadway in some locations to accommodate the sidewalk.
o Four (4) easement documents were assumed and included in the contract, but because of required drainage improvements, eight (8) additional easement documents will be required to acquire temporary construction easements and permanent drainage easements.
