ITEM SUMMARY:
* The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting to reallocate funds in the amount of $2,300,000 for design, construction, and equipment purchases to deliver substantial updates in a single phase to the Old Setter's Recreation Center and Park.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The MCDC approved $5,500,000 in funding for this FY18-19 to implement various elements of the Parks Master Plan.
* Part of the approved funding included $1,800,000, for a total amount of $2,000,000, to commence with the first phase of the renovation of the Old Settler's Recreation Center.
* MCDC approved funding for other Parks projects in 2016 and 2017 that are available for reallocation to the Old Settlers Recreation Center renovation.
