ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an Interlocal Agreement with McKinney Independent School District to utilize a portion of MISD property from July 3 through July 5, 2025, for set-up of equipment and other temporary infrastructure for a public festival on July 4, 2025.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

      •                     Red, White and Boom is a long-standing festival hosted by the City of McKinney. This year’s event is being held in a new location, the field next to McKinney High School. The event will consist of artisans, business vendors, a children’s area, food court and concert. The fireworks show will be launched from across the street at Towne Lake Park.
